Classical design of a circular coffee table made of solid mahogany. Designed with a square pediment atop each of the legs. The legs taper gracefully to end on original brass casters. The solid mahogany wood is in excellent vintage condition with a rich, warm look and feel. No gouges, damage, cracking, etc. to report. The brass casters are all original and have oxidized to a uniform subtle brown color similar to the wood tone. The marble that sits atop the mahogany base is a very beauti...fully veined dark grey with ivory white veins. The marble has never been broken and repaired as evidenced by looking at the underside of it. The marble is a carved from a solid single slab and not a veneer or composite. This Portoro marble is exclusively found sourced from quarries in Italy and is stamped Italy on the underside. This timeless coffee table was very well built and remains strong, tight joints and stable. No stains, noticeable scratches or chips to report. The solid brass casters have been removed and restored & polished to a beautiful clean vintage brushed gold finish. Email me if you would like pics.
