Rockefeller Center Completed as United States Rubber Company Occupies Final Building
Completion of the greatest private building project in the world's history was signalized this week when United States Rubber Company oc...cupied the building bearing its name – the fourteenth and final structure of Rockefeller Center. The final building is shown as the furthers right of the three front structures – in a new airplane photo, looking from the West of the Center. Left to right are the RKO Building, containing the Radio City Music Hall; the towering RCA Building with its fronting NBC studios; and the new rubber company building rising over the Center Theatre.
(Note to Editor: THIS IS THE FIRST AIR PHOTO OF THE COMPLETED AND OCCUPIED CENTER. It is a newly made photo, not previously distributed from any source. It is an uncommon view of the Center, taken from the West – nearly all, if not all, previous air views were taken from the East. It is distributed by consent of Rockefeller Center. All reproduction rights have been purchased from Fairchild Aerial Surveys, Inc., New York – and these photos are hereby distributed for free use as news material.)
Photograph measures 8" x 10" on a glossy single weight paper stock with remnants of old adhesive, original paper caption, and notations on verso.
Guaranteed to be 100% vintage and original from Grapefruit Moon Gallery.
