Up for sale is an absolutely MAGNIFICENT Vintage Antique Fully Lace Tablecloth in an Ivory or Off White Color. I cannot find any broken strands or stains but look at the photos carefully. They are a big part of the description. The tablecloth is sold AS IS.
I believe this type of lace is called "Punta In Aria", that is, it is not anchored to a cloth but created "in the air". It also may be called Italian Point-de-Venise or Belgian Lace. I would appreciate any input.
It's ex...tremely difficult to do and takes a high degree of skill and experience. I believe this to be an excellent example.I am not sure of the age of this cloth but believe it to be vintage or antique. If you need any further photos, let me know.
The tablecloth is scalloped around the edges and is very approximately 40" x 60". It is difficult to measure as it has been washed but has not been stretched or ironed. I will leave that to you.
