STRAIGHT FROM A HOUSE CLEARANCE:
We do clearance work, walking around on our knuckles like Neanderthals, so have no knowledge of anything !
This stunning old hand-worked woollen / felt tapestry, believed to date from the 1970`s, was found hanging in the hallway of a recent clearance. The lady concerned was certainly well-travelled.
It measures approx. 36 inches wide x 34 inches high, and is extremely soft to the touch. This is not some mass-produced t...ourist-tat piece.
It is however, in need of a gentle clean, as I think once it was hung on her return from her travels, that`s exactly where it stayed, so is pretty dusty and generally a little grubby in places.
Currently supported through the top by a bamboo cane....THIS WILL BE REMOVED......so making it easier to pack. Very easy to replace it with another bamboo or piece of smooth dowel.
