Please read the description carefully and study photos.Very interesting old box dating from about 1860 or a little earlier.It is cardboard and covered in pretty paper and the top has embroidery worked on punch paper and there is a mirror in the lid which is quite marked with age.There is a slight water mark on the top as shown.There is slight damage to the paper at the sides.I am not sure if it was a trinket box or possibly a sewing box.It measures 6" x 4" or 15 cm x10 cm
