Tiffany & Co Fairchild LED Watch RARE 1970 ' S Watch Fully Fine
Item History & Price
This watch was originally purchased at some point in the early to mid-1970s from Tiffany & Co.'s main showroom on 5th Avenue. It spent most of its life in a ...dresser drawer, seldom worn.
Not nearly as many were made as compared to Pulsar and other 1970s digital watch brands. Some say this Tiffany watch's style was a partial inspiration for the current Apple watch, though of course this one is just more elegant -- the original design always is.
The only other working one listed on eBay right now is a gold version selling at a higher price. See https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233056730897 for details. And do read the other entry. Even though it is a UK seller who does not ship worldwide, the seller adds some great details about this watch series, originally sold starting in 1973.
This watch was really cutting edge technology in the early 1970s. They used a very robust electronic mechanism, gold plated battery contacts, ceramics, etc. with a just gorgeous crisp red led display, giving the piece aa "2001: A Space Odyssey" Feel. The crystal is virtually unmarked with crisp Tiffany & Co. logo.
LED module has time | date | seconds modes, see pictures. There is an inset button as well for setting actual current time and date. All LED segments are clear and bright.
The batteries have been replaced [2] and gold contacts polished with a professional glass fiber contact reconditioning brush. It comes with original Tiffany black snakeskin grain leather strap and new display box as shown in pictures above.

[1] This is a vintage piece of electronics, so no guarantees as to future reliability. Vintage electronics are however often way more robust than their modern counterparts, in part because the chips that powered them were not as jammed with transistors as is the case now, and tend to handle bumps and errant static electricity better.
[2] The watch uses standard widely available LR-41 watch batteries which were just replaced. The case is easily opened for battery replacement with a case opener kit available online, I can provide an appropriate link to buyer.
