Here’s the third and final 1970s / TCM Poulan I was able to get from a downsizing local shelf collection: a very good, clean 306A with the original 16” Bar & a good, newer Chain in complete condition with nice curb appeal. It wanted to start up and run (fired over and tried to start several times) but I couldn’t quite get it there completely. So it will need some carb cleaning or adjustment/ servicing prior to use. The previous owner had gone through it at one point though. Looks... like it has new gas lines and fuel filter. There may be a little gas leak somewhere along the way as I think it may have actually flooded. Pulls over pretty good with good compression feel but there is some slack in the recoil on the back end. Good original green paint and labels (top label is a little faded) , good kill switch, throttle, lock, bar oil pumper, choke lever, gas and oil caps, good tensioner, both guide bar plates, good solid handles. The grip on the wrap handle is cracked on top but is all intact. A little piece of the flywheel fan grate is broken out as seen in the pics but not too bad. Looks like some light gas evaporating from the edges of the tank?? A nice looking Poulan 306a that you will be able to cut firewood with after some minor servicing or definitely a great addition to any vintage collection. You will like this one.
