Gorgeous Vintage 1970's Wool Pile, Muted Green Dye Rug from Hacilar Province in Cappadocia. It comes within good pile condition. It measures 4'10"× 6'11" and is of hand spun wool pile symmetrically ha...nd knotted on hand spun wool warps and wefts It was meticulously hand-knotted by a Turkish weaver in Hacilar province where we always used to make the most beautiful rugs in central Turkey.
This part of Turkey is being always remote area and surrounded by several large lakes , rivers and Mountains ;this might be one of the reason its textiles and rugs were unknown to the Western Markets .
