RareVintage University of Virginia Commemorative Plate, made in England. This transferware plate measures approx. 10-7/8" in diameter and has anivory background with blue artwork. The plate has an embossed border, witha central image featuring Pavilion IV on the University of Virginiacampus. The back of this plate has the following inscription:"University of Virginia – Pavilian IV – Bi-Centennial Edition -1743-1943", as well as the manufactur...er's mark "Wedgwood ofEtruria & Barlaston, Made in England -- Sole Importers - Jones, McDuffee& Stratton - Boston". The Wedgwood impression/incision is alsopresent. It is in excellent conditionwith no chips, cracks or stains.
