This is a vintage white glazed figural toby jug which stands 8 1/2 inches high; measures 4 1/4 inches x 5 1/4 inches at the base and it dates to around 1940. This toby jug was made by Copeland Spode and on the base you can see the firm's earlier trademark in black. The toby jug depicts a regal Winston Churchill with his famous cigar, bow tie and top hat. Winston Churchill is one of the best known and some say one of the greatest statemen of th...e 20th century. As Prime Minister of the United Kingdom he rallied the British people during World War II and led his country from the brink of defeat to victory and he will forever have a place in the hearts of the British people. As to the condition there are no splits, cracks, nicks, chips, damage or restoration and there are no scratches to the white glazed finish. Please excuse any photo flashes or reflections.
