We are selling this paper fan with a silk tassel for some friends, although it could be more than ordinary paper, perhaps silk paper, as it has this silk tassel, but we do not know.
They do not know how old it is, but it was owned by a well to do lady in Switzerland who died around 1950. The contents of her house were being sold and our friends, living in Switzerland at that time, bought it. It could be pre-1900.
The hand painted lacquered box is approximately just over ...12 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 2 inches deep.
