Up for auction is a pair of fine 18th century Chinese Qianlong famille rose porcelain immortal of imperial scholar figures with nice antique red lacquered bronze mounted display stands. The figures are fine and authentic 18th century examples. The figures have unique famille rose 18th century vibrant enamel colors with intricately detailed faces. The figures came from the estate affixed to these antique red-lacquered display stands that complement the figures nicely.
The figure show glaze wear and minor nicks and imperfections consistent with their early age. The figures are otherwise in substantially good and intact condition with no cracks and no repairs. It is nice to find an estate-fresh pair like this that have not been later restored or altered, which more scholarly collectors are tenting to prefer today. The figures are nice examples to display measuring 9 and 9 1/2 inches tall by themselves, and 10 10 1/2 inches tall including the affixed stands.
