Thank you!In June 2017, a nearly complete extinct species of bird was discovered in Burmite amber!Bu...rmese (Burmite) amber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky resin during the time of the dinosaursand is being mined in the Hukawng Valley in Myanmar(Burma).This is a fully polished piece of Burmite (Burmese) amber that contains a group of 11 insects consisting of mainly wasps and flies from thetime of the dinosaurs.
