Vintage Tinplate Battery-Operated Smoking GrandpaToy, Marusan, Japan. A nice vintage tinplate battery-operated Smoking Grandpatoy with tinplate body covered in a checked shirt, denim jeans, tinplate shoes and pipe, sitting in an armchair, made by theMarusan Shoten (San) Co. in Japan in the 1950’s or 60's. The Smoking Grandpa measures 8 inches tall by 4 wide and 7.5 inches deep and is in very good working condition with some playwear to the tinplate and clothes and minor surface rus...t around the base, The battery box is clean and free from surface rust. When switched on, the grandpastarts to rock back and forth in his chair, moving his pipe up to his mouth. The pipe lights and there is just a little smoke that comes from his mouth, although this may improve with a few drops of oil. The toy is marked on the underside of the shoes with the Marusan “San” emblem and “Made in Japan”. A nice vintage battery toy in very good working condition, still a hard to find toy in any condition.Please see my other vintage toys listed. Vintage Tinplate Battery-Operated Smoking Grandpa
Toy, Marusan, Japan.
A nice vintage tinplate battery-operated Smoking Grandpa
toy with tinplate body covered in a checked shirt, denim jeans,
tinplate shoes and pipe, sitting in an armchair, made by the
Marusan Shoten (San) Co. in Japan in the 1950’s or 60's.
The Smoking Grandpa measures 8 inches tall by 4 wide
and 7.5 inches deep and is in very good working condition
with some playwear to the tinplate and clothes and minor
surface rust around the base, The battery box is clean and
free from surface rust. When switched on, the grandpa
starts to rock back and forth in his chair, moving his
pipe up to his mouth. The pipe lights and there is
just a little smoke that comes from his mouth,
although this may improve with a few drops of oil.
The toy is marked on the underside of the shoes with the
Marusan “San” emblem and “Made in Japan”.
A nice vintage battery toy in very good working condition,
