This is a lovely example of an Antique Vintage French Wood + Metal, Victorian Hat & Coat Wall Hook.
The overall length is 30cm and the width is 13cm at the widest point. It weighs 240g. I have owned this hook for 30+ years and unfortunately don’t have anywhere for it in my current home. Please see all the photos, there are age related scuffs and marks to the wood but it does briwax up really well.I was once told that this is a French judge or barristers wig and cape hook but I’...m not sure. I purchased it as a French Victorian hat and coat wall hook.Dispatched with Hermes tracked 2-3 days.
