This print was recently acquired from an estate in Upstate NYThis Serigraph was commissioned by Kane Publishing and printed by Coriander Studio in LondonIt is NOT a poster or Lithograph but a SERIGRAPH (which results in far deeper color saturation and depth of detail)
This is quintessentially Art Deco and is evocative of Erte's deeply felt influence on the Art Deco movement in generalTh...e Overall Framed size is 27" high by 32 1/2" wide. The sight of the serigraph is approximately 24 3/4" wide by 19" high
This is in a glossy black frame and triple matted with silver as the widest mat color, and black and gold surrounding the image.Below the image reads "ALADDIN AND HIS BRIDE BY ERTE A SCHEHERAZADE STAGE SET PUBLISHED BY KANE FINE ART LTD PRINTED BY CORIANDER STUDIO LONDON 1983 SEVENARTS LTD" in gold lettering
My research reveals that this edition is both closest in color to Erte's original gouache and is also difficult to locate as it was not intended for mass production and the run was stopped after a few hundred copies were produced.
The colors ans crispness on this are spectacular and the overall effect is stunning
Excellent Condition - No fading or damage to image, Serigraph, Glass, frame and mat all appear undamaged. Ready to be hung and enjoyed! Any spots in photographs are merely the result of the challenges of photographing a glass-front object and the resultant reflections. flares etc. This has been stored away from sunlight and has the crispest colors possible.
