I AM ALSO LISTING OTHER SHAWLS, SO PLEASE LOOK AT THEM AS WELL.Antique Cantonese/Chinese cream silk and multicoloured hand embroidered shawl or Manton de Manila. It has very pretty floral hand done embroidery. The silk panel is approximately 50 inches (127 cm) by 48 inches (122 cm) and the border and fring...es are 21 inches long (53 cm).There are some condition issues detailed below but in my opinion it can still be worn, used for display, as a throw or used for other projects.CONDITION.There are no holes, tears or splits. There is a pinhead size hole near one edge.There is some slight colour run from the embroidery.I think the shawl has come into contact with water or rain but it doesn’t look as though it has been washed, as then the colour run would be more extensive and the colours would be much paler.I actually think it looks quite good as the colour run is quite delicate.There are some pale stains (See photos). They may come out with cleaning. I have not cleaned it myself.There is a little damage on a section of fringe (See photo).Still a lovely shawl.
