Vintage Omega Speedmaster 145. 022 - 69 ST Straight Writing Cal. 861 Moon Watch
Item History & Price
I am pleased to offer this rare vintage Omega Speedmaster reference 145.022-69 ST. This watch was purchased from a watchmakers estate and is being sold as found and as is so please read the description and look over the detailed photographs carefully.
This watch features a 42mm stainless steel case that is in excellent condition showing only minor signs of wear and use. The case is sharp and does not appear to have ever been buffed or re-polished. The case back is the rare "st...raight writing" version which was a very limited production; The inside of the case back showing the reference number 145022- 69 ST. The original stepped dial is also in great condition retaining all of its tritium luminous material, which is shown using a black light in the last photograph. The bezel appears to be the original "DNN"(dot next to ninety) version. The movement has its dust cover and when removed you can see a clean cal. 861 movement with serial number 29113453 which also. I will note that there are conflicting opinions about the dates of these serial numbers and some seem to contradict this early of a serial number being used with a 'straight writing' case back as they are said to be about a year or so later. I can not be sure as even experts appear to disagree on this but this exactly as the watch was found and therefore I'm selling it as I received it. The watch runs and appears to keep time and the chronograph starts, stops and resets however it has been been tested for any specific accuracy and the service history is unknown. The watch did not have a band with it so I am selling the head only. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.
I am selling this watch at no reserve to the highest bidder. As you can see I put a lot of time and effort into each of my listings so I ask that you please only bid if you intend to pay.
Thank youOn Jul-15-19 at 03:21:09 PDT, seller added the following information:There is s typo above which I meant to say: the watch has NOT been tested for specific accuracy. However it is running appears to keep time and the chronograph is functional.
