A Rare, Exceptional & Very Impressive
Shiwan Chinese Crystalline & Flambé Oxblood Glazed Porcelain Pear Shaped Vase
with Impressed Character Base Seal Mark.
~ 18" Height ~
This auction is for a fabulous & very impressively large Chinese porcelain pear shaped vase. Made by the Shiwan kilns, Chinese pottery from kilns located in the Shiwanzhen Subdistrict of the provincial city of Foshan, near Guangzhou, Guangdong.... Decorated in a fabulous gloss Crystalline over glaze in shades of pastel lemons, blues & greens. The wide & flared neck spout is in a deep Flambé oxblood textured speckle glaze as is the under side body. Nicely base marked with an impressed character seal mark on an oak brown glaze. This vase comes direct from a recent estate clearance & is sold in superb as found condition. No chips, No cracks & No repairs of any kind. It comes complete with it's original ebonized black swivel wooden base.
Overall all a very very impressive piece of Chinese art pottery
in excellent display condition . . .
