DescriptionAn antique Chinese blue and white “Swatow” porcelain dishfrom the Wanli Period 1573-1620 of the Ming Dynasty. It is covered in a thickglaze and decorated underglaze blue. The decoration is of a phoenix with it’shead facing it’s tail surrounded by foliage and blossom while under the bowl aresimple blue rings.This is most probably from the Hatcher Cargo find ofshipwreck pieces. Nice large piece and excellent for the collector.
Condition: Some glaze wear from sea action. Residues. No restoration or chips.
The piece is 27.7 cm in diameter (approx 11"). Bidders in China and Asia please note delays in shipping and delivery are currently affecting postal services to your region.
