Up for auction at NO RESERVE is this gorgeous antique Chinese or Japanese carved green celadon porcelain square form bottle vase with fantastic relief of flower blossoms and butterflies in lovely landscape scenes.
Bottom is unglazed and with no marks or signatures. I believe this may be from the Setsu province from the early 19th C late Edo period. Only one other example has come up for auction is the last six years - the last sold at auction by Cowan’s Auction in 2014, that one ...reached five figures in the end.
In wonderful condition with just one tiny nick to a corner and that’s it - no other losses, no cracks and no other issues to report. Item will be double boxed for international shipping.
Measures 5.1” inches tall and 3.3” inches long and wide (13 cm, 8.4 cm).
Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
