These prints are a limited edition of 80 and done in 1985 at Bluestone Editions in Anaheim, California. The prints were done to raise money for Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts in Idyllwild, Ca. These artists taught at the Summer Arts Native American Program the school offered for years. They were friends and enjoyed working around each other and sharing meals with their friends and family over the summers there. I knew all of them and studied with Lucy an...d Blue Corn. I bought these together in 1985. I want to sell them together which was how the artists intended them to be displayed. 1. Lucy Lewis (1890-1992) Potter from Acoma Pueblo This was Lucy's first time ever working on a flat surface. Her work is titled "Na Yaah". It is the Lightening design Lucy made famous on her pottery It is 29/80 and signed and numbered on the paper. 2. Blue Corn (1921-1999) Potter from San lldefonso Pueblo This was the first time Blue Corn had ever done her art on a flat surface. Her work is titled "Four directions of the feather plate" It is 29/80 and signed and numbered on the paper. 3. Juan Quesada Potter Casas Grandes Mexico This was the first time Juan ever did his art on a flat surface This work is titled " Libre Con Tarahumar" It is 29/80 and signed and numbered on the paper Juan is the only living artist in this series.4. Michael Kabotie (1942-2009) from The Hopi Nation in Arizona He was an amazing Jeweler, artist, sculptor, writer and storyteller. His father Fred Kabotie was also a very famous artist. His work is titled "Homage to Poets of Clay" It is a blind embossment done on an engravers copper plate. It is 29/80 and signed and numbered on the paper. Framed sizes are 23 1/2 by 19 1/2 each print is sized differently and that information in listed on the back of the print as you can see.These framed prints have been sealed and storage safely for many years and are in excellent condition.
