Offered is a large vintage “rainforest” basket from the Wounaan culture in Panama. Nice large open vase form with an indigenous colorful geometric design. The body color upper and lower portions of the basket are different, and at first look like fading, but on closer inspection you can see a distinct color change in the weaving. Excellent condition with no damage or losses. Measures approximately 9 1/2” in diameter.
