Gigantic abalone shell, 7.75" x 6.25", 17 ounces, with bands of greens and oranges on the outside. I =think= it's a California red abalone, but I'm not sure. First two photos show it wet. Not sure of age - estate sale find, it was on display for several decades. EXCELLENT condition with some overall wear.
