This auction is for a rare vintage Herend Hungarian hand-painted large porcelain figurine of woman with child holding on to her as shown in the pictures taken with and without flash. It has a wonderful form and beautiful colors and is in very fine condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The bottom is marked as shown: with the Herend Hungary hand-painted mark and the number 7 and 70 with some other impressed hard to see letters and numbers. In addition to the mother and ...child the woman is also holding a pot with lid. The sculpture/figurine stands about 10 and three-quarter inches tall by almost 5 1/2 inches long by almost 3 1/2 inches wide. These measurements include the base. This piece of Herend would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s fine porcelain or Herend collection.
