Lot of 11 Blue Crab Shells. 8 of them look to be in excellent condition, 2 of them have a slightly broken point or tip, and 1 has a small hole in the back-side of the shell. Since these are wild caught Maryland Blue Crabs, there are likely some natural flaws from a life in the wild. You will receive a total of 11 Maryland Blue Crab Shells with this lot. The shells measu...re between 5.5" to 6.75" from point-to-point approximately. All crabs were steamed which turned the shells a reddish-orange color (some are more red and others a pale orange). The shells have been triple washed in lukewarm, soapy water and lightly cleaned with a soft bristled brush to clean off the yucky parts. Then, the shells were air-dried completely. There is no odor with these shells.
Perfect for all types of arts and crafts projects. I have seen beautiful, hand-painted Christmas ornaments made from these shells. Would also make nice accent pieces for aquariums, nautical decor, marine, sea, or ocean themes. Nice accent pieces for a fisherman or outdoorsman's man cave. Probably many uses for the creative type.
