Panasonic SE 2510 all-in-one AM/FM turntable record player stereo. Shipped UPS Ground for flat fee in contiguous US.
This is a Japan-made 1981 unit with AM/FM, record player, cassette (nonworking) and aux inputs. Partially refurbished with new phono idler drive wheel, new stylus, fully cleaned inside and out and polished dust cover. Refreshed the sticky old lube inside turntable mechanism with fresh silicone lube. Auto turntable works like a champ, and new-old-stock styluses a...re still available, although you won't need one for some time, as this one comes with a brand-new one.
Speakers are not included, but I am including speaker phono-plug adapters that will let you connect any speakers to this unit. What's also cool about this is that it has an aux input, which will let you connect a CD player or even a Bluetooth module to stream music. I tested it with my Bluetooth receiver and it works great. FM tuner is very sensitive and pulls in lots of channels. Note, this model never had a lighted dial, so don't expect that.
The bad: The cassette player does not work. It could be restored by an expert; it needs new belts, as the original ones disintegrated. I tried, but the mechanism was too hard to get apart to replace the belts. There are some hairline scratches in the dust cover, but it polished up very nice. What's there I tried to show in the photos, but the scratches are very hard to photograph. There are no cracks. The hinges for the dust cover broke free from their mounts on the cover, but when it's attached to the unit, it works as it should. Even comes with original owner's manuals.
Keep in mind this is a 40-year-old unit. It has minor cosmetic blemishes, but nothing not detailed in the photos. It's also not a hi-fi, so don't expect to blast out your neighbors with this machine. It's a nice piece of vintage gear that will sound better and be more reliable than the entry-level department store stuff available now.
