This mother of pearl clam shell is from the banks of the Mississippi River. Probably more than 100 yrs old. The button blanks are included along with a rusty clam hook. The rusty clam hook was found under the roots of a very large tree after the wind had blown the tree over, near what was believed to be an old clam camp near Red Wing Mn.This would be a great teaching aid or conversation grouping.
