Original Description:
For sale is a confederate states d-guard bowie knife.  The knife is 24" long and 2" wide when measured in the original leather scabbard.  The scabbard has a beautiful gold foil design and is marked "5th SC".  The blade does show some rust and pitting, but that is to be expected.  It is in overall good condition.  The blade has the maker's mark of Macon Arsenal which was a major confederate manufacturer in Georgia during the civil war.  It is also marked "C...SA" and "1861".  Please view the closeup of all pictures to get a good idea of condition.
This is a great piece that would make a great addition to your collection.  Buyer to add $15 shipping.
