TIRED OF SEEING RIDICULOUS ASKING PRICES ON EBAY AND AT SHOWS???........SHOP WHERE THE DEALERS SHOP..... WE OFFER WHOLESALE ETHNOGRAPHIC ARTS AND OTHER HISTORICAL ITEMS TO ALL PERSONS ALL OVER THE WORLD ! SIZE: Measures approx. 16 3/4 by 32 1/2 +/- inches. CONDITION: EXCELLENT with signs of use/age as shown and as expected. COMMENTS: Slightly larger than average Gallup this one has a spectacular design that is very graphic yet stays true to the classic Chinle banded styling. LOTS OF FABULOUS colors INCLUDING RED, SALMON, , BLACK, and TURQUOISE, TEAL, WHITE, ...SEVEN COLORS ! It has a soft late transitional weave , and clean nice condition highlights this vintage Navajo Gallup Throw rug / weaving with the look of a textile from the Chinle Trading Post area of the Navajo nation near Canyon de Chelly. A beautiful very old example that will fit a variety of places/decors. Gallup Throws were made to be sold along the old Santa Fe and El Capitan railway lines between Chicago and Los Angeles from the early 30s on. Many of them were sold at the Gallup train station hence the name. Put this on the floor, under a vanity, over a couch, on a table, under another piece of art, or even under your laptop. A classic look and style with excellent age and it has NO RESERVE ! In the rare instance something is damaged in shipping it will be the buyer's sole responsibility to process the claim at the post office. We will provide all the required documentation to help you speed through the process.
