Carey Magic Inch Briar Estate Pipe Made In London England

 This one kept catching my eye with my pipes to work on area, and once it took a polish I found it to be an even more handsome pipe. I kept thinking I was looking at a Comoy's or BBB. When I saw the "Made in England" stamp I found I wasn't far off. There is a secret I found out about Carey that I don't think much info is out on, but I noticed the ones that look like they came from the Shalom factory are stamped Israel, and actually are. I believe they purchased the bowls from vari...ous larger makers, and had the name and patent stamped on them. The finish product with the stem system was finished in the states. After all, you cannot patent a standard bowl unless you do something different to it. So, that is how I come to this conclusion. 
This pipe is a beautiful  apple shape, round with a nice sandblast. It's a standard sized apple with a tight shape. I can come up with a few names on who I think made the bowl by the Made in London England stamping, but I cannot prove exactly other than what I stated in the above paragraph. Comoy's and GBD used that stamp, and sold pipes to various shops and stamped what they wanted on them. There is only a tiny amount of chatter that you don't even notice when holding, only in closeups. It was enjoyed and handled respectfully, broken in just right for you, and cleaned well. This beauty is ready to smoke.
