ITEM: You are bidding on a very unusual original medium format 120 archived film black and white camera negative photograph taken in the 1950s by Bunny Yeager. This features the pretty bottled blonde popular Men's Magazine figure model Maria Stinger posed in a party dress with handcuffs around her ankles, a very unusual shot for Yeager. We have found no other examples of Yeager introducing a fetish / bondage element to her photograph. There are three backstories we can think of f...or the existence of this sitting: she was exploring venturing into this genre, as she was clearly well aware of the sorts of work Irving Klaw was making with Bettie Page and other models in New York, she was inspired by a cover she saw on a 1950s Detective and Spicy Pulp Magazines of the early 1950s, which often featured similarly styled images, or a party one evening got a little out of hand, and the handcuffs Bunny's police officer husband Bud Irwin had lying around were put to provocative use!

Maria Stinger, one of Yeager's most alluring and iconic models was in 1954 crowned "Miami's Marilyn Monroe" after winning a local beauty pageant. Stinger holds the distinction of being the first model to pose for Yeager. A photo of her taken by Yeager graced the cover of the March, 1954 issue of the magazine "Eye - People and Pictures." Among the men's magazines Maria did pictorials for are "Caper, " "Gala, " "Glance, " and "Rogue." She also appeared in the Betty Yeager film "Bunny Yeager's' Nude Camera, " which was released in 1963.
In 1964 Stinger attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. Although she had three daughters with Harry Walter Stinger, Maria nonetheless still divorced him in February, 1965. Stinger then moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where she committed suicide at the tragically young age of 36 by overdosing on pills in November, 1967.
