Vintage Indigo Mud Cloth TextileSourced from Mali in West Africa. Narrow strips of handwoven cotton are stitched together to create a single cloth, then dip dyed several times in indigo. This piece is at least 25 years old which gives the fabric a lovely soft feel and wonderful patina to the indigo. These are perfect as a rug, wall decor, blanket, draped over a couch, or a beach blanket. They are also used to make pillows or upholster chairs. Each mud cloth is unique.These mudcloths ar...e vintage and show signs of wear consistent with age and history. They may have imperfections, small holes, fringes, frays, patches, or stains that add beautiful and unique character to each piece. These are not considered defects.
