The optional shipping price includes a bubble envelope with a tracking number. USPS will not give tracking numbers on regular sized letter envelopes sent 1st class mail. I'm sorry for the higher shipping costs but if you are bidding on a rare, one of a kind vintage or obsolete item I would suggest getting the optional shipping method because you will have a tracking number to make sure you get the item.

International shipping will be $6.50 with USPS form 3817 "Certificate of Mailing" which proves the item was sent to you but does not include a tracking number or you can choose $17.50 for Registered mail which includes a tracking number.
