Wonderful antique Victorian, England stoneware kitchen pudding/food mold is a true survivor! Most of these molds did not make it into the 21st century, and certainly not intact. The design features ribbed sides, and the main design is of a bundle of asparagus, deeply inset into the top. I have no doubt that this made some beautiful "puddings" (not the kind you're thinking of; Victorian puddings were usually gelatin and a jumble of leftovers - yuck). A beautiful and interesting piece of... kitchen history!Unsure of maker. From 1870s-1910s sometime.Has extensive age crazing, cracking (repaired) and staining, with some pieces chipped out, but the mold is still solid, which is amazing for a Victorian England stoneware kitchen mold!
