Gorgeous crisp casting to this pierced hanging bell. The Latin inscription reads the four Apostles in Latin along with their attendant animals MARCUS with the Lion LUCAS with the Deer JOHANNES with an eagle and MATHEUS with well, a human?! All original and the bell is affixed to a beautiful Gothic style wall bracket, just as crisply cast and beautifully detailed. This is a quality door fixture that will look wonderful in any number of situations by the front door or gate! Complete wit...h original ball chain pull and giving a perfect pleasant but loud toll.Hanging, the assembly is approx 14cm top to bottom (plus chain) the bracket is 17cm wide and the bells diameter is approx 9cm.
