DescriptionMy collecting urge has now meant I have completely run out of room. Rather than give up, it is time for me to sell some of my favourite items, so I can create space to buy some more! I have other similar cool stuff to sell, so please check out my other auctions! Here we have a really cool pair of figures. Both are really excellent examples of the carver art.One carving is most certainly Ashanti (the fertility doll), and I think the other one is as well. But I am not 100% sure... on this. I bought these together and I was told the character with the sticks was a diviner, but now I am of the opinion that is most likely wrong and am pretty certain he is a drummer. But , who as you can see has lost his drum! The drummer is in great shape (apart from missing his drum). The fertility doll has lost an earring off her right ear (easily replaced) and also a small sliver out of the back of the same ear. So please check this ear in the photographs. Apart from that she is in good used condition. As mentioned earlier, these really are two very nicely executed pieces.Happy bidding!!!PLEASE NOTE: Although I have quite a few ethnic pieces, I am NO expert so I have no idea of age or quality. I just buy what I like the look of. So I am selling "sold as seen". Therefore please check the photographs and of course I will answer (to the best of my ability) any questions you have!Happy bidding!Approximate DimensionsThe female Ashanti fertility doll is:Inches: 10.5 high x 4.25 across x 2 deepCentimeters: 27 high x 11 across x 5- deepThe drummer is:Inches: 10 high x 3.5 across x 5 deepCentimeters: 26 high x 9 across x 13 deepThe last photograph in the series features a baked bean can (not part of the auction!) to give you a sense of scale.Postage And PackagingI try to charge the exact cost of postage (or close to it). To keep my costs down, and help the environment, I use recycled boxes and packaging where at all possible. I also take a great pride in making sure that your item is VERY well packaged and arrives with you in great shape.
I aim to get parcels on their way to you the day of, or at the latest the next day after, payment has been received. I always update the listing with a shipping tracking number, so you know it has been dispatched.
If you purchase multiple items I will happily combine postal costs for you. So, if you have bought more than one item, please message me when the auctions are finished and I'll send you an invoice.Overseas BuyersPLEASE NOTE: I am not geared up to post items abroad, BUT I have opted in to the eBay Global Shipping Program (which means they do the overseas shipping for me). So if this item is available to you via that, then GREAT, we'll let eBay do the work for us! If it is not (eBay excludes some items from this program), I am sorry I CAN'T ship it to you!PaymentsAs I am really just a hobbyist seller I only take Paypal. I would ask you to PLEASE pay promptly if you win as late, or even worse non-payments, cause me a lot of hassle and it is really not very fair on someone who is trying to offer the best service possible!!About Me And GoodbyeI guess that is it, apart from saying I ALWAYS do my VERY best to date and describe all the items I sell, BUT THEY ARE SOLD AS SEEN. So please read the complete description and look at ALL the photographs.
I have always been a bit of a collector, but recently I have begun to sell as well. It is just a hobby and helps to fund some of my eBay purchases. I do not (and never will) make any kind of living out of it! Blimey, I'd starve to death if I ever tried! I also wish you happy bidding! If you have a chance please take a look at my eBay seller page and also at ALL the other wondrous treasures I have for sale!
