Up for auction is this great beer bar tray from the early 1930's just probably just after the repeal of the 18th amendment.
13" dia. 1.25" deep bright full color tin lithograph. Non-Disney art but wonderful scene of the Three Pigs enjoying mugs of beer with a keg in the background. The artwork is very Disney like. I would love to know who the artist was.
The angry wolf is standing behind a wood fence marked "Repeal", the Wolf is playing the part of an angry proh...ibitionist. c. 1934 and produced just after the repeal of prohibition which lasted from 1919 to 1933.
Moderate scattered paint wear, mostly to bottom rim edge which really doesn't show much from the front. Art shows very little wear and mostly just under close inspection. Fine. Rare. Great item with much cross-over appeal. It is rare to find these metal trays that are not heavily scratched and rusted. This one is in amazing condition.
