Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:49227098 |
Ultra-rare James Bond’s 007 Special Brew can in excellent condition.
In 1968, the National Brewing Company of Baltimore, Maryland, released James Bond's 007 Special Blend, a blend of malt liquor and beer. The series of cans featured attractive women posing in front of famous London backdrops. The brand was pulled shortly after release, as National Brewing had not secured the trademark for a commercial product from the Fleming estate. Due to this limited run, these cans are very ra...re.
These particular cans were produced on a one-day run at Continental Can in Los Angeles in 1968, and were a promotional version with a coin-slot top and not many were made. My Grandfather worked at the LA Continental Can factory from 1955 through 1984 and this can was from his personal collection. It has been in our home since 1968. This can was used briefly as a bank, and has some minimal etching on the top of the can (not noticeable until looking at the top straight on). This can has spent the better part of 50 years boxed on a shelf, and its color and condition are excellent.
