Vintage Masudaya Modern Toys X-07 Space Surveillant Space Ship 1950s Japan Played with Modern Toys Space Surveillant for parts, repair, or display. This is a large, heavy, and nicely lithographed spaceship. The detailed cockpit features an astronaut pilot ...with a moving joystick arm. This version of these egg-shaped space ships travels with the pointed end forward, and has the ‘No-Fall” action instead of bump and go action. It was described to not fall off tables. That design then lead this toy to have two separate battery compartments. Look over the photos closely (more available on request), one of the battery covers has had work done and there is some touch up paint applied to the sides of the bottom tin piece. These repairs make me suspect it might need just a little tinkering to be back in action. It did nothing when tested with batteries, but the switch feels loose and may no be making contact. I’ll leave it to the winning bidder to decide what they wish to do with it.
