This is a very ornate, antique sterling silver hairbrush to repurpose, make your dog the envy of the dog park when you groom him with this Victorian gem. Sterling silver repousse' is an extremely time consuming art requiring experienced silver artisans who no longer exist, the elaborate pattern of flowers, foliage and rococo scrolls and swirls was punched out from back resulting in a deep, detailed surface, very ornate in the style of the late 19th century. No makers ...mark but quality is very good, measures 8.5" x 3" with a nice brush insert. Great antique condition, normal signs of age and use. See our other listings for more.
