This beautiful four-piece Art Deco pewter tea /hostess set by Knickerbocker Silver Company is in very good to excellent vintage condition.The four matching pieces in this set include:A hinged/lidded teapot measuring approximately 5-1/2" tall by 8" wide including the handleOpen sugar bowl measuring approximately 5-1/2" wide including the handles by 3-1/2" tallCreamer measuring approximately 4" wide including handle by 4" tallRound, scalloped-edge serving tray which measures approximatel...y 11" across by 3/4" tallThis highly polished, gleaming set has an elegant shape, stylized handles and finials, and Art Deco shell feet on the teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl. The bottom of each piece is marked with the Knickerbocker Silver Company maker's mark -- a colonial man wearing a tri-corn hat with the words "KS Co." and "P79" "Pewter." Knickerbocker Silver Company (KS Co.) was located Port Jervis, NY and in business from 1894-1962. Given the Art Deco elements present in this set, it most likely dates back to the mid/late '20s to the early '30s.Set is in very good to excellent condition. No cracks, gouges, splits, or repairs. Though it appears this set has been lightly used, the tray does a few slight dings, and all four pieces have a few very small tarnish spots and fine scratches which is not uncommon and is consistent with age. (See pix.)
