Reserved for Tom in Mass. This is a ride-on train locomotive manufactured in the USA by the Marx Toy Co and is in original, unrestored condition. It is made of sturdy pressed steel painted in two shades of grey with red trim. On the side in raised numerals it says '3000' and stamped on the back and the interior is the logo for Marx Toys, a circle with 'MAR' inside with a large 'X' behind the letters. The effect is reminiscent of a railroad crossing sign. This fu...n toy originally made for the two and under set is 27" long x 6 1/2" x 11 1/2" to the top of the handle, is in genuinely excellent condition. The handle is metal. It may have been played with briefly, back in the 1950s, but still has shiny original paint with just minor chips around the edges, plus a few scuffs. The body is totally straight and there are no dents. The hard rubber wheels are original and all intact. The bell rings. This is a wonderful, collectible display piece from the 1950s.
