(All text, heading, information and photographs within this listing are the intellectual property and copyright of; riversidemaximus23.)Vintage, Gentleman's absolutely outstanding, original Swiss Tissot (brand of Omega) pocket watch with beautiful ivory dial in a 12 carat (tested) gold plated case.(Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph).Looks to have been much loved and very well cared for - her condition certainly reflects... this.C ~1960's.Full working order and is an excellent timekeeper (within +2/-2 minutes per 24 hours) with plenty of room on the regulator for any further fine tuning.Fully checked and serviced by my highly experienced watchmaker and is guaranteed to be 100% authentic - a timepiece to grace any collection!DIAL;-Impressive and distinctive, high gloss, 'snowflake' white dial in mint condition - absolutely no hairlines, marks or nibbles.Signed clearly in bold, black, very fancy script; Chs. Tissot & Fils Depuis 1853. and signed below the sub dial in arched black script; SWISS MADE.Bold black heavily scrolled Arabic numbers (note the lovely little arrow tip to number 4) with black minute markers forming the chapter ring which are interspersed with black Arabic numbers (13 - 24). Sub Dial with black Arabic numbers and black seconds chapters.Finely cut, original black steel Breguet moon hands and original black steel arrow tipped seconds hand all in lovely straight, unmarked order.Original thick bevel edge glass (not acrylic) in clear and bright condition with very few little (micro) short and fine scratches showing under eyeglass only.CASE;-The highly polished (4.3cm diameter / 6.3cm from top of bow to base), 12 carat (tested) gold plated case is heavy (has a pleasing solid feel in the hand and total watch weight is a very respectable 71.6 grams), robust and in wonderful condition - absolutely no indentations or wear (again looks to have been very well cared for) and just a few very light little micro surface scratches (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age and use in her 50+ years service. All covers both inside and out still retain their original mirror finish.The front bezel, back cover and dust cover all snap on and off correctly, closing tightly with a very reassuring click.MOVEMENT;-The Swiss high grade 17 jewel lever movement is in superb bright and clean order and has just been checked and serviced.Carries the most wonderful bright 'fishscale' engine turning to the top plates - the detail of which remains as crisp today as the day it was made.Clearly stamped; SWISS SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS UNADJUSTED and is numbered to the bottom plate (to the side of the balance assembly); 6497 SB.Hand set operates smoothly and correctly - the pull up/push down action is very firm and true.
