This vintage Zilotone No. 48 wind-up xylophone disc playerwas manufactured by Wolverine Supply & Mfg. Co. of Pittsburgh, PA. With it is the original instruction tag whichis complete, although yellowed and with some soiling and a couple of closedtears, and the original foldout catalog, Toy Topics, of Wolverine Toys fromthat era which is complete and untorn, but with yellowing and writing next tothe Zilotone picture (#48, Sunny Andy). Also included are three discs: M...yOld Kentucky Home, Sidewalks of New York, and the Farmer in the Dell. It was our grandfather’s toy when he was aboy (he was born in 1924).
Toy was tested and functions properly mechanically, and thediscs play at proper speed. There are nomissing or broken parts. The paint isbright and largely intact, although there are some minor scratches. Total height is about 7 inches, the widthacross the front is about 7.5 inches, and the depth is about 8 inches. Toycomes from a smoke-free, pet-free house. Winningbidder pays actual shipping cost plus $0.25 for packaging supplies.
