HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!PLEASE NOTE: We are cutting back significantly on the number and dollar value of the items listed in our Weekly eBay Auctions that end December 21th and December 28th – we usually do this each year in order to be able to spend some time with friends and family over the Holiday Season. Well… this year is a bit different.
Like many of you, we will not be seeing our loved ones this Christmas… There won’t be any family around the tree o...pening presents on Christmas morning and there won’t be much of a New Year’s celebration… We are foregoing the gatherings this year because, as Charles Dickens told us, the true meaning of Christmas involves caring for and about our fellow man. By Christmas day over 320, 000 fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, grandmothers, grandfathers, friends and strangers will have been taken from us all by this horrific Pandemic and the very least we can do is protect others from dying by staying home and not contributing to the suffering of our fellow man by contributing to the spread of the virus. Next Christmas will come soon enough and it will be THE MOST JOYOUS EVER!!! Until then we can give up a few small pleasures to save a life or two.
We are exceptionally grateful to all of our regular customers for their interest and support these past 22+ years on eBay and we wish every one of you a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season!!

The Penny Toy is marked “Made in Germany” but has no manufacturer’s mark although it has been suggested it may have been made by J. Meier.
This wonderful, Tin Litho Penny Toy measures approx. 4 5/8" long and 2 3/8” tall to the top of the driver’s head. It features a separately constructed, dapple gray tin horse that connects to the front of the carriage by tabs and a driver wearing a yellow uniform and cap. The body of the wagon is open at the top and has solid sides. This horse drawn Wagon is typical of those used in the late 19th and early 20th century to deliver wooden kegs of Beer or other goods.
This outstanding, Tin Litho Penny Toy is in excellent to near mint condition. There are no breaks, bends, cracks, physical damage or repairs of any kind. The surface lithography is exceptionally well preserved and the Penny Toy displays beautifully. Please see the scans below for a good representation of the form and outstanding condition of this rare German Penny Toy.
