Beautiful very old French mechanical toy doll white cat wind-up Roullet et DecampsIt is a cute and rare Roullet et Decamps Mechanical Toy Cat. The largest sales took place in the department store "Au nain bleu".This French white cat has a very funny head from Roullet et Decamps.When the cat is wind up by means of a key, a keyhole is on the right side of her belly. If everything works exactly, this machine cat would walk and squeak while opening its mouth. Movement of the jaw, legs and... tail (which flexes and unfurls with a wide movement).But unfortunately it does not function perfectly. The winding system and the on/off metal handle functions.She moves her legs but no longer has the strength to walk forward, she still makes the beeping sound and sometimes the mouth goes up and down (not so often). when you help to open the mouth, she closes it herself. The tail does nothing more than just be beautiful.Beautiful of white real fur and this is in excellent condition for its age, a bit bald here and there and very minor damage. With a modeled body of metal and papier-mâché, it is in good condition.She has a beautiful papier-mâché head.
