It is made of solid wood. It has "butterscotch" color bakelite on either end. It appears to have originally been painted black but much of the paint has rubbed off. Ball measures approx 4.5" tall and it measures 14.5" all the way around in the center. Ball is marked or carved with "06753" on one end and "No. 2 1/4" on the other. There are a couple of cracks. GREAT PATINA.
