This is the 1970 K&B 40 (Series 70R) model airplane engine. This engine turns over smoothly with weak compression (this is a Dyke's Ring engine, so I would expect only fair compression at best (when not running and the ring not seated) but this feels too weak to me and I think would need a new ring to achieve top performance).
