Please email any questions, and HAPPY BIDDING!For your consideration, this TRUE antique/vintage 1930s handmade patchwork FOLK-ART quilt in an old RARE pattern called Double 9-Patch/Octagon or Snowball -- highly VISUAL, using lots of JADITE, cream and other sweet jewel-tones -- all old 100% cotton scrap fabrics, including LOTS of feedsacks -- straight edges, and backed in the same creamy cotton used on the front -- light to medium-weight batting which is definitely 100% hand-combed cotton -- the quilt measures 62" x 84", and was totally hand-pieced and hand-quilted in tiny grids at 4-5 small stitches per inch -- everything nicely done, while still maintaining a perfect FOLK-ART presence and all the PERSONALITY you could ask for! -- VERY GOOD antique condition -- light wear/gentle usage -- strong, sturdy and everything intact -- colors still CRISP and VIBRANT, with maybe some minimal mellowing over time -- the quilt NEEDS cleaning, and may have been stored between the bedsprings at one point -- there are small age spots/stains, watermarks and surface soil -- everything looks highly liftable with some spot-treatment, a gentle soak or a quick trip to the cleaners -- all cleaning decisions will be left up to the new owner -- no other issues to report -- use on your bed, as a "stacker" in your quilt cabinet, or CELEBRATED by hanging on the wall as TEXTILE ART! -- a true collector's piece....and the price is right!
